Okay, so now I've pretty much gotta post one too!!! -^o^-

Yesterday, I went to my cosplay!

COS-PLAY: Basically, a big nerdy costume party where a bunch of people from all over dress up like anime characters and party in a way that only a bunch of dorks let loose in a hotel can!

MATSURICON. The illustrious. The Epic. Where to begin....

It IS the BEST COSPLAY EVER. Probably the biggest one I've ever gone to. And it is my friends's and mine's annual spot. This year we went in DeathNote Themed grandeur. Zach was Light, I was Misa, Ashlie was Mello, Stacy was L, Mason was Matt, and Collin(....) was Sid.

So. My goal this year was basically to partake in, observe, and record AS MUCH cosplay magic as possible! Here are some memorable moments to immortalize:

UPON ARRIVAL getting swarmed by a group of people I don't even know screaming "It's MISA!" We hugged, I squoze some cat ears, laughed at yaoi buttons, hugged stuffed animals, got my picture taken with Misa fans, and had some ppl with a video camera follow "Light" and I to the registry! All this in just the first 5 minutes!

ASHMEL MET an OTHERMEL!!! They ran to each other, and this caused a mass hystera that spurred on a GINORMOUS lineup of Carmell Dansen-ers!!!

Later Light and I ran into OtherMel exhausted in a chair. "...hands..." she whispered, and held out her hand to me. We ended up in a Wammy circle w/ totally different Wammy's than we came with, and danced slowly in an affectionate circle of cosplay magic.

Zach and I kept loosing AshMel and L, so one of the times we were looking for them, we found our selves wandering the halls and looking in the different programs scanning for our friends. We looked in this one room, and The guy running it was all, "Nope. You looked in here once, which means you have to stay!" We were like, "KAY!!!!?" and sat. Turned out he was supposed to lead a talk on Light and Darkness, but his partner never showed! Open-ended discussion time. I suggested we discuss the meaning of life, but after a little debate, we found that was too broad. Zach suggested "Batman & Superman in a fight-- WHO WOULD WIN???" Which got a lovely response from the room, which lasted until they finally kicked us out. Oh, our group came in there with us for a bit, but left when L's sweet tooth got the better of her. Sugar crash after 5 minutes of no candy!!!

Zach bought me a Misa plush to commemorate the cosplay and fulfill his promise! We got little Bleach action figures (i've been getting into that anime l8ly) that came in mystery packs, and are epic! He also bought me this black anime bunny in yellow trunks, and I named him PLANT! I will be uploading pictures of him on here soon!

I made friends with a random maid girl! And I have her devi, so we can keep in contact on here!!! *yays!* ^^

THE GAME PARADE. Sloganed "Stop the Maddness, End The Game!!!" Man, that was counter-productive, you guys. Because of them, I lost the game!!! > : O

The food search with Collin.... *sigh* He said that someone told him there was free food on the 2nd floor but... Zach, Collin, and I searched ALL the floors, to no avail. ToT
I feel so lied to.
(LOLZ, the portal shirt with the picture of cake that read, "Lie to me". *rofl!)

I FOUND a random guy with a chainsaw and made him intimidate AshMel. (((i love you AshMel.... <3))) ^.^;;;;;;;

So about halfway through I had to go to the bathroom... I got into the first one I can find just to realize that the floor is LITTERED with "YURI HAPPENS" stickers! IN THE HANDICAPPED STALL!!!!!! o.O

Before we left, Mason broke AND fixed a spear, I got some epic fight pictures of my group, the guys tried to hitchhike, AND we participated in another group's Carmell Dansen vid! They were AMAZING tho! I'm looking forward to finding it on youtube someday! (if you ever stumble across it, i'm the Misa in the back going crazy & having at it!) -^o^-

Next year we are going to stay up at the Hotel for all 3 days!!! It will be AMAZIEPITASTIC!!!!!!!!!! (<--- that is a freaking awesome word!)
All I know is that I will want a room with a balcony, and our guys in the room next door. I dream of ordering extra-EXTRA pillows from room service, and having a massive in-cosplay PILLOW WAR!



Ah, Matsuricon... I miss it already.
I'm tired and pumped at the same time!!!!
